Don't Make A Scene by Valerie Block - Book Review

Diane Kurasik is approaching her fortieth birthday. If that isn't bad enough to face, she is now being forced from her inexpensive Manhattan apartment. What happens as Diane searches for a new apartment and does she find that special man?Diane is the director of the Greenwich Village art house cinema. She is unmarried. At this point in her life, it is not easy to find a man because most of them married before they were thirty. The remaining men were only interested in things like their jobs, etc. While Diane is looking for a new apartment, she spends many nights on the couches of her friends. As her search continues and some renovation work needs to be done on the cinema, Diane meets Vladimir Hurtado Padrón. They are very attracted to each other. The only problem is that Vladimir has some problems. His wife does not want to give him a divorce and he has a 17-year-old son. What happens to Diane? Will she marry one day? Will she find another apartment?Valerie Block has written a book that is very clever. Any woman can just picture how she would feel if she found herself in the same situation as Diane. The author has created several charming, well-drawn characters that fit very nicely into the story. Readers will find themselves laughing out loud throughout this book. Don't Make A Scene is a very entertaining and delightful read. Be sure to add this one to your reading list. dr seuss book collection
